THE CLINIC
The Blind Equestrian Community in combination with a generous grant from The Dressage Foundation is thrilled to be hosting a rare clinic for blind and visually impaired riders.
This clinic is for riders of all levels and with all degrees of vision loss and will allow blind and visually impaired riders to come together to gain knowledge, confidence and skill as well as collaborate on best practices for those teaching blind riders.
WHO
Michelle LaBarre will be our clinician for this event and is a Grand Prix and Para Dressage competitor and coach, specializing in bio mechanics, both in the saddle and on the ground. Michelle herself is visually impaired so this will be a particularly unique clinic where the blind will lead the blind to new heights in their equestrian pursuits.
Mia Boccella is a filmmaker and the owner of Boccella Productions LLC as well as a blind equestrian. Mia will be hiring a film crew to document this event for educational purposes as well as to include in an upcoming documentary film about the horse--human connection.
